Dubai Heights Academy Dubai Heights Academy is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational EAL/ELL Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in a warm and welcoming environment located in the Al Barsha South area of Dubai. The school opened in 2017 and offers an inclusive, exciting, and outstanding education to an international community of students from FS1 to Year 12 (2025-2026), with plans to grow to Year 13. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities including separate buildings for each phase, a 380-seat auditorium, temperature-controlled swimming pools, fully equipped science and computer labs, specialist rooms for art, DT, music, and drama, a library, two multipurpose sports halls, a full-size football pitch, various outdoor play areas, and a spacious canteen. Dubai Heights Academy provides a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, following the National Curriculum for England, supplemented with Arabic language, Islamic Studies, Moral Education, and Social Studies. The school has partnered with MIT to develop a bespoke AI project-based programme for secondary students and an early language programme using social robots for primary students. Job Overview Dubai Heights Academy is seeking applications from dynamic and talented EAL/ELL teachers with excellent subject knowledge who can contribute to continued improvements in student progress and attainment. The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with students who have English as an Additional Language and coordinate provision to achieve outstanding progress.
- Have a passion for reaching young people who require language support to access mainstream education.

- Set, support, and track progress against an Individual Language Plan.
- Engage English Language Learners through active learning opportunities.
- Coordinate and conduct Team Around the Child meetings (collaborative ILP meetings).
- Be confident in using learning technologies to support teaching and learning.
- Lead training sessions to upskill staff in supporting the needs of EAL/ELL students.
- A BEd. or degree and PGCE/PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
- At least 3 years of prior teaching experience in English as an Additional Language.
- At least 3 years of experience with the National Curriculum for England (desirable).
- Experience offering language support across all key stages.
