JOB PURPOSE: The key purpose is to determine whether the borrower is eligible for financing and the requested credit POS Loan facility is in line with the bank's risk appetite and Target Market Risk Acceptance Criteria (TMRAC) by conducting detailed credit analysis and assessment of POS credit applications. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Review, analyze, and prepare credit memo with all customer details. Initiate field visits for customers who are eligible for loans after initial analysis.
  2. Recommend and prepare loan proposals keeping in mind the policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  3. Adhere to and comply with departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and practices to ensure work is carried out smoothly and methodically.
  4. Exhibit consistency with the organization's values and ethics to demonstrate a value-driven culture within the bank.
  5. Contribute towards continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and methods in line with changing needs to efficiently carry out duties.
Job Context:
  1. Analyze clients' financial statements, bank statements, and/or audited financial statements; investigate clients' credit history/credit reports to meet the bank's lending standards.
  2. Possess thorough in-depth knowledge of financials, including verifying figures, cash flow data, and income statements. Analyze different ratios and present financial analysis to the delegated authority.
  3. Ensure completeness and correctness of documentation to avoid fraud.
  4. Conduct in-depth analysis of all loan-related borrowers' financial ratios like turnover ratios and debt service coverage ratios to ensure error-free underwriting and that the proposed loan amount aligns with the bank's policy.
  5. Review and analyze restructure requests from existing loan customers and recommend restructuring in line with the bank's policy.
  6. Review deferral/waiver requests from existing customers and recommend accordingly, considering the credit risk involved.
  7. Process loan applications and service requests efficiently and within agreed timelines.
  8. Verify checks through various FAB application systems like OBIEE, Vision Plus, Globus, Intellect, Customer Connect, and also from external systems like AECB, Central Bank checks (CBRB & CRS), and Firco.
  9. Work under pressure without compromising on quality.
  10. Ensure that all approved loans and proposal-related documents are complete and shared in the common folder to safeguard against missing or misplaced documents.
  11. Perform any additional job-related tasks/projects as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications: Minimum Education Required: Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance/Banking/Commerce. Experience: Minimum 5 years in Credit and/or Banking experience. Remote Work: No Employment Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
