Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and innovative Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing structural designs for a wide range of projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation in our engineering solutions. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute structural designs for various projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use structures.
2. Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
3. Utilize advanced structural analysis and design software to optimize project outcomes.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP systems.
5. Ensure compliance with local UAE building codes, international standards, and best practices.
6. Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
7. Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices.
9. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent.
3. Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on complex projects.
4. Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
5. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro).
6. Expertise in UAE and international building codes and standards.
7. Advanced mathematical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
9. Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
10. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
11. Knowledge of seismic design and analysis.
12. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards.
