Bartender - Laguna Taverna

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to our established service standards to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
2. Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks according to recipe standards with attention to detail, taste, and presentation.
3. Have a thorough understanding of drink names, ingredients, preparation methods, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.
4. Be well-versed in wines by the glass and at least five wines in each category on the wine list covering varying price ranges and styles.
5. Know the specialty beverages offered, including single malt scotches, cognacs, cocktails, and craft beers to provide guests with recommendations.
6. Be knowledgeable about the entire bar menu as well as the dining room menu, ensuring guests receive accurate recommendations and answers to their questions.
7. Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring the bar is always fully stocked with all necessary products and ingredients.
8. Complete daily inventory checks and communicate any changes in stock levels to servers, managers, or barbacks.
9. Ensure all guests are of legal drinking age (21 or older) and follow responsible alcohol service protocols.
10. Accurately report all income received during each shift, ensuring proper cash handling and accountability.
11. Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, always considering the customers' safety and well-being.
12. Maintain a seamless flow of service between the bar, servers, and kitchen staff, ensuring prompt delivery of orders and requests.
13. Complete all side work as outlined in the bartender manual, including cleaning and restocking tasks.
14. Report to work on time, ready to work and contribute to the team's success during scheduled shifts.
15. Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive attitude toward coworkers and guests at all times.
16. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar and surrounding service areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines and company standards.
17. Greet guests promptly and engage with them in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a memorable experience.
18. Work effectively as part of a team, helping colleagues when necessary and communicating effectively with other team members and management.
19. Assist with or execute other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management to ensure smooth bar operations.

• Previous bartending experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of bar operations, including drink recipes, bar menu items, and proper service etiquette.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (e.g., kegs, cases of alcohol).
• Must be of legal drinking age.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
