As a Multi- Skilled Engineer your responsibilities will include:
- Repairing and maintaining production and ancillary equipment, property and facilities ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and in line with the requirements of the production process and plan
- Creating PPM schedules, maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing data entry records within appropriate timescales
- Acting as host for Contractors working on site ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and completed and that safe working practices are agreed prior to commencement of work
- Responding to requests from production and Maintenance Leads for engineering assistance, monitoring visual management boards to ensure priority items are dealt with
- Working with the production teams to improve their capability and knowledge of the equipment
- Ability to quickly identify problems, perform root cause analysis to stop repeat failures
- Following policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards
- Playing an active part in food safety and health and safety, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe working practices are always followed
- Demonstrable experience gained within a food manufacturing environment
- City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering. Ideally multi-skilled
- Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills
