Following continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a newly created position as a Crop Monitoring/Sampling Support. In this role, you will support the Crop Monitoring Coordinator with day-to-day operations, including planning, scheduling, data management, and client communications. You will also assist with monitoring and sampling activities, ensuring efficient and accurate preparation and planning. Based in the Bay Of Plenty, Pukekohe or Waikato, this position is fixed term from March to September. Our preference is full-time hours; however, we are open to hearing from anyone looking for part-time work, provided you are available five days per week. There is the potential for this role to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling: Be the mastermind behind our monitoring and sampling schedules! Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather all the info you need, update job requests, and keep everything on track.
- Supporting Crop Monitoring Scouts: Help our new Scouts hit the ground running! Assist with onboarding, provide on-the-ground support, and offer basic tech help.
- Administration: Keep things running like clockwork by assisting with client registration, maintaining spreadsheets, and supporting our Quality Assurance team.
- Database Management: Keep our CMS database in tip-top shape, report any issues, and help set up and troubleshoot apps on scout phones.
- Monitoring & Sampling: Get hands-on with preparing sampling materials, covering for Scouts during peak times, and accurately recording data.
- Reporting: Turn data into insights! Export, clean, and prepare data for use in Power BI or Power Pivot, and ensure timely delivery of reports to clients.
What you will bring to the team:
- 2+ years of horticulture experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite (M365) including Excel (Beginner knowledge of Power BI is desirable)
- Competent using mobile phones and computers for data entry
- Good eyesight and physically fit
- Full class 1 license (4WD on-farm driver training or experience is a bonus)
- Previous crop monitoring experience; AvoGreen certification is desired
