- Equipment Maintenance : Perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure mechanical and electrical reliability
- Continuous Improvement : Drive defect handling, machine performance, and efficiency improvements using IWS principles
- Team Support : Train, coach, and develop team members and apprentices to enhance engineering skills
- Operational Flexibility : Operate manufacturing equipment as required and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Compliance and Reporting : Adhere to safety legislation, maintain high hygiene standards, and report performance metrics effectively
- Qualifications : City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering (essential); HNC and PLC skills (desirable)
- Technical Expertise : Proficiency in fault finding, electrical wiring, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and technical report writing
- Teamwork and Communication : Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to train others, and contribute effectively to team objectives
- Adaptability and Initiative : Ability to work flexibly, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to improvement
