About the Role:Davies Stewart are partnering with Mc Mahon Services to recruit for a General Manager in Brisbane, Queensland. The General Manager QLD is responsible for the strategic performance and quality of the Mc Mahon Services Civil & Infrastructure team in Queensland, ensuring alignment with the company's centralised practices. Mc Mahon Services are firmly committed to looking after the success and wellbeing of their staff, from safety in the workplace through to professional development, ongoing training, and equal opportunities.What Mc Mahon Services can offer:Attractive and competitive salaryCompany VehicleWork across a diverse range of projects and customersAn opportunity to lead the team and operations in QueenslandKey Responsibilities:Be the main conduit for adopting and implementing National Mc Mahon Services systems and tools in all aspects of business in QLD.Provide leadership to the QLD Civil & Infrastructure team.As part of the senior management team, assist in improving business processes and support business growth in QLD.Establish and maintain business development activities, including discovering upcoming business opportunities, and initiate an early involvement.Review all the tenders and conduct a detailed analysis of opportunities to select and recommend the best opportunities to proceed with.Review contracts during tendering and identify and measure risks and opportunities after contract award.Identify and communicate all the commercial risks and opportunities as part of the handover stage from tendering to delivery.Assist in negotiations of the contractual terms.In consultation with the EGM Civil & Infrastructure, employ, review performance, and manage all the QLD resources within the Customer Stream.Assist in the growth and strategic objectives of Mc Mahon Services within the Customer Stream.Oversee the performance of the QLD team and be accountable for the development and mentoring of the team members.In consultation with the EGM Civil & Infrastructure, be responsible for setting up the budgets for the QLD line of business and ensuring meeting the financial forecast business target.Oversee projects' delivery within the contractual time and cost constraints.Provide strategic, technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successfully implementing project activities, ensuring adherence to project objectives and Mc Mahon Services' cultural and project delivery values.Thrive to enhance Mc Mahon Services' presence in QLD, promoting the company's civil, infrastructure, environmental and remediation capabilities and expertise.Establish and maintain a sustainable, long-term, value-adding relationship with the local clients' executive members.Skills & Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience in major construction/infrastructure project delivery, preferably in the Civil and Structural Engineering spaceExperience directing projectsExperience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating large projectsStrong commercial experience in contract administration and managementExcellent understanding of WHSEQ best practiceDynamic, engaging, and motivationalAble to build credibility quickly and influence those aroundExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer skills in Microsoft OfficeFormal or informal Education in Project ManagementFormal Tertiary and preferably advanced education in Engineering, Finance, or ManagementIndustry White CardCurrent Valid Driver's LicenceAbility to obtain DCSI and Defence ClearanceApply NowTo register your interest, please forward your current resume and cover letter via the application link.
