RESPONSIBILITIES Administrative responsibility for overseeing all SA property assets within Territory. Liaise with other heads of departments at Territorial and Regional level to ensure SA mission and ministry are adequately served by suitable property facilities. Initiate and implement Territorial and Regional property strategies for the management of SA's Property Portfolio. Promote sustainable practices and ensure that all property management activities align with environmental sustainability goals. Ensure the day to day requirements for all existing buildings and those under construction or modification are met. Ensure all SA properties are correctly maintained. Direct and supervise professional consultants employed to undertake specific tasks with regard to the properties and their maintenance. Liaise with government departments, authorities and private developers, with a view to maximize appropriate ministry on available sites. Ensure SA furniture, fixtures and equipment are adequately accounted for through the maintenance of an asset register. Maintain a thorough knowledge of market trends relative to property and rental values. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Real Estate or any related field. Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar capacity and leading regional teams. Extensive experience in strategic planning and implementation within property asset management. Proven track record of effective leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership, government officials, and private developers. Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
