The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join the Founders Forum Group as our Head of Asia. Based in Singapore, this role will play a pivotal part in continuing to expand our presence across Asia by curating inspiring content, fostering partnerships, and building a vibrant local community. You will also explore new areas of expansion within the region, collaborating closely with our Head of Partnerships and Programmes in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to shape Founders Forum's strategy and presence in the region, with the potential to grow the regional team and develop a portfolio of high-impact events and programmes. Candidates must have significant experience in events and partnerships and a passion for the tech ecosystem. The Role As Head of Asia, you will lead the development of Founders Forum's presence and strategy in the region. Your primary responsibilities will include: Community Building Cultivate relationships with leading founders, investors, corporate leaders, government representatives, and media across Asia, with a particular focus on Singapore. Develop strategic partnerships with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and corporate leaders to strengthen our regional presence. Support and facilitate the curation of invite-only, community-driven events by engaging best-in-class industry leaders and influencers. Represent Founders Forum on the ground by hosting local dinners, breakfasts, and networking events to expand our brand presence in the region. Act as a company brand ambassador, ensuring strong representation across the ecosystem. Content Leadership Own agenda and content curation for our events in the Asia region, ensuring they are relevant and timely for our speakers, community, and partners. Support the content team by feeding in ideas for themes, content, and speakers based on insights into Asia's market trends. Curate engaging themes, panels, and speaker line-ups that reflect the latest innovations and challenges in the region. Explore digital content opportunities to extend our reach beyond physical events. Partnership Development Identify and cultivate business development opportunities by building relationships with corporate CEOs, VCs, and government bodies. Work closely with the partnerships team to identify and secure sponsorships for our Asia-based events. Strengthen and manage government partnerships at a global scale, such as with the Economic Development Board (EDB) and other strategic entities. Drive government grant applications and media collaborations to support our initiatives. Event Management Oversee the seamless execution of high-quality event programmes, ranging from intimate 15-person dinners to large-scale 200-person forums. Work closely with the UK operations team to coordinate logistics, venues, and supplier management to ensure exceptional event delivery. Ensure events are inclusive, diverse, and attract top-tier industry participation. Strategic Expansion Develop the Founders Forum Asia proposition by exploring and launching new event formats, collaborations, and digital content opportunities. Identify and build the partnerships and relationships needed to establish new initiatives such as community dinners, sector-specific events, regional roadshows, and cross-border collaborations. Support in the promotion of our sub-businesses and their potential geo-expansion within Asia. Leadership Managing our Head of Partnerships and Programmes based in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader passionate about shaping the tech and innovation landscape in Asia while expanding Founders Forum's reach in the region. You'll have knocked our socks off in 6 months if... You have sourced and confirmed world-class speakers for our events. You have developed a comprehensive Founders Forum Asia strategy with clear goals for expansion. You have built a robust pipeline of sponsorship and partnership leads and are deeply embedded in the tech ecosystem. This role is for you if... You have 5+ years of experience in events, partnerships, or community-building roles within the tech or start-up ecosystem. You thrive on building relationships and influencing stakeholders. You are entrepreneurial, resilient, and self-driven, with a natural curiosity for innovation. You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You are highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are commercially minded and adept at uncovering and pursuing new opportunities. You are comfortable working independently and remotely. Our Application Process We aim to respond to applications within two working weeks. Our process typically includes: A one-on-one interview to discuss your experience and aspirations. A task-based interview to assess your problem-solving approach. Meeting with our Head of Partnerships and Programmes in person in Singapore. A conversation with our CEO or a senior team member. Requirements 5+ years of relevant experience in content, community, or commercial roles within the start-up ecosystem. The right to work in Singapore. Strong understanding of the Asian tech landscape. Willingness to travel regionally and globally as needed.
