The role involves working closely with the senior investment professionals to conduct due diligence, prepare investment recommendations, and assist with portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:- Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and carry out initial assessment.
- Conducting sector and technology mapping and advise the senior member of the team to develop areas of focus.
- Analyzing financial statements and business models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Support the senior members of the team in conducting in-depth financial and commercial due diligence.
- Contribute to valuation, deal negotiation and structuring exercise of potential investments.
- Contribute to the preparation of investment memorandum and presentations for the investment committee.
- Contribute to the closing of investment deals and review of definitive agreements.
- Development of investment thesis on each transaction, social media blogs, and press releases.
- Actively monitoring existing investments and developing reports on portfolio health and performance.
- Work with other functions towards a unified organizational goal.
- Support the senior members of the team in administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis.
- Building and maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other venture capital firms.
- Contributing to the overall strategy and development of the firm.
