Position Highlights POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Clinic Provider Team! The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner provides psychological testing, therapy, consultation and medication management services to promote the mental health of Regional Health Services of Howard County patients and community. He/she acts as a resource to physicians, hospital staff and the community in developing awareness of psychological principles, which might be helpful in working with individuals and groups. Position has the options to be in person, hybrid, or remote. He/she must live in Iowa. * This position is full time, 72-80 hours every 2 weeks * POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: PA or ARNP required. Licensed or license eligible to provide medical care in Iowa.
- Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association) via current card prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status.
- Displays competence with high level socialization skills and the ability to interact appropriately with staff and wide range of clientele under stressful conditions. Able to act as a model for stable lifestyle and personality. Must be free of psychological or substance abuse impairments that adversely affect job performance. Is willing to cooperate with formal, independent psychological evaluation if questions are raised in the above areas.
