Job Overview We are seeking a Mid-Level Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at EIL Global IT Solutions and Services Pvt Ltd. This part-time, contract, or freelance position is available in multiple locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Nelson, Wellington City, Christchurch, Whangarei, Dunedin, and Napier. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to ensure seamless IT support and maintenance, contributing to the efficient functioning of our clients' IT environments. Qualifications And Skills

  • Proficient in Windows OS troubleshooting, capable of resolving user and software related issues with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Active Directory management, including user account creation, permissions management, and group policy administration.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite support, able to address a wide range of user queries and technical issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using remote desktop tools to provide efficient support to end-users, ensuring prompt problem resolution.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics and repair, including component replacement and peripheral setup.
  • Must have experience in desktop support, delivering high-quality IT services in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform imaging and reimaging of desktops and laptops, ensuring quick deployment and recovery of systems.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient and effective on-site and remote technical support for desktop systems, software, and hardware.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Windows operating systems and related software applications.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory accounts, configuring user permissions and enforcing security protocols.
  • Assist users with Microsoft Office Suite queries and provide solutions for technical challenges faced.
  • Utilize remote desktop tools to deliver fast resolution times to end-user reported issues and requests.
  • Conduct regular hardware diagnostics, perform necessary repairs, and coordinate with vendors for warranty services.
  • Lead imaging and reimaging processes for workstations, ensuring streamlined installation and maintenance of systems.
  • Collaborate with network and server teams to ensure cohesive delivery of IT infrastructure support to clients.
