Sustainability and Compliance Officer Location: West, County Dublin Job Type: Permanent, Full-time An established food processing company with a heritage spanning two centuries is seeking a Sustainability and Compliance Officer to drive environmental initiatives, strengthen health and safety culture, and ensure compliance across its operations. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong passion for sustainability and the ability to lead impactful projects in a fast-paced industry. Key Responsibilities * Lead sustainability initiatives, focusing on reducing energy consumption, carbon footprint, water usage, and waste. * Collect, analyse, and report key environmental and sustainability metrics to support data-driven decision-making. * Conduct energy and environmental audits across multiple sites to identify and implement improvement opportunities. * Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, working to maintain legal and ethical best practices. * Develop and implement health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a proactive safety culture. * Design and deliver training programmes to enhance employee awareness of sustainability and workplace safety. * Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive continuous improvements in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. * Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards. Candidate Profile * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Health & Safety, or a related field. * Minimum of two years' experience in sustainability, health and safety, or compliance-related roles. * Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change. * Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in implementing solutions. * Full clean driver's licence required, with the flexibility to travel between sites operating in chilled environments.
