Senior Accountant
Job details
Role Purpose A candidate is required for the position of Senior Accountant. The candidate shall be responsible for handling and overseeing the financial requirements and management reporting of the group and support the executive management team by offering insights and financial analysis that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. Key Activities
- Recording transactions Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Accounts Receivable Reporting collections from customers on a weekly basis along with customer aging analysis. Generating and forwarding SOA to customers on a monthly basis through the sales team for the confirmation of balances and reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.
- Payables Management Precisely maintaining all payments and reporting on a weekly basis. Generating and forwarding SOA to vendors on a monthly basis for the confirmation of balances and reconciliation to resolve discrepancies.
- Treasury Responsible for working capital management reporting to higher management for timely decision-making. Monthly bank reconciliation statements to be maintained and reported to management. Responsible for all collection and payments, maintaining accounting records and posting, matching, clearing, and assisting management in day-to-day tasks.
- Management and Financial Reporting Prepare monthly management reports by following all agreed structures of financial statements and other necessary financial performance reports. Reconciling statements and reporting to management regarding any discrepancies highlighted.
- Team management Coaching and appraising the performance of the team. Providing guidelines to team members for entering accurate records into the company's ERP. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Taxation Preparing and reviewing tax returns as per the local laws of Saudi Arabia. Monitor tax liabilities and ensure the payment of the same on a timely basis. Responding to the queries of the different government bodies in case any assistance is needed.
- General Assisting management in planning, assigning, and directing work to the staff. Assisting in the audit being conducted by the external and internal auditors. Resolving their queries and facilitating management in this regard. Responsible for preparation and record keeping of relevant vouchers. Maintaining proper records of supporting documentation with regard to sales/purchase invoices, debit and credit notes, receipts, and payments, etc.
