This role will be responsible for all metrics of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people development for a production area across shifts. - Recommend and implement measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods and working conditions so that downtime is minimized through the use of teamwork and TPM/continuous improvement principles including leading autonomous management activities.
- Manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the Quality System is followed and that products produced meet specifications.
- Partner with internal plant and external Ecolab contacts (Quality, Logistics, Planning, and regulatory agencies) to proactively avoid quality, environmental and service issues.
- Provide formal and informal reporting on plant performance and issues.
- Direct and provide resources for production operations.
- Set production and maintenance priorities and determine manning requirements to meet production schedules.
- Responsible for housekeeping and 5s standards in all production areas.
- Responsible for team safety including observing and ensuring safe work practices, equipment monitoring, accident and near-miss investigations, and daily toolbox meetings.
- Coordinate with Production Planner, Warehouse Maintenance and Quality to complete production plan successfully.
- Coordinate all rework and relabel opportunities.
- Communicate production status with Production Manager and Production Planner.
- Direct yard driver to assist in maintaining production schedule.
- Track departmental data and generate applicable reports as needed, implement, and promote measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods and working conditions to minimize downtime.
- Make adjustments in schedules using knowledge of machine capacities and equipment, and worker capabilities.
- Ensure proper, accurate, and timely reporting of all daily requirements.
- Work as a team with other production operators, shift leads and production manager to achieve goals.
- Plan and initiate training of employees to expand job knowledge and add flexibility to scheduling the workforce.
- Proactively communicate maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality or productivity to the appropriate functional/department leader.
- Ensure that the operation and Safety SOP's and good practice are followed on daily operation.
- SAP tasks and report collection correctly and timely.
- Proper shifts management, for perfect and safe adherence with the production plan.
- Check and review preparation (mixing), filling, and packaging instructions at beginning of line runs. Follow up the line changeover.
- Ensure that the correct raw and packaging materials are available.
- Ensure that the line is set up correctly per the preparation (mixing), filling and packaging instructions. Adjust the line as necessary or ask Supervisor or Maintenance Tech for assistance.
- Ensure adherence to Safety, quality and production related Work Instruction, Memo’s, and SOP.
- High School Diploma OR Bachelor’s degree.

- Ability to meet physical requirements of position.
- 5 years of previous experience in Chemical plant or warehouse.
- 3 years of previous experience with Reaction chemistry.
- 2 years of previous experience in production supervision.
- Fluency in English language.
- Proficiency with MS (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
- Experience on SCADA.
- Experience with SAP.
- Demonstrate training and coaching capabilities to others on packaging, filling and mixing operation skills.
- Have leadership skills.
- Good time-management, strong attention to detail, good communicator and a team member.
- Ability to complete training and master skills that are required by position (including but not limited to Hazardous Material Safety and DOT training).
- Ability to understand and track safety, quality and productivity data.
- Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems.
- Experience in quality control in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Forklift Driving.
