We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety, Health & Environmental specialist to join our team in a Green Field Factory in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and minimizing our environmental impact. Focus of this role is to:

  1. Implement and maintain effective Safety, Health & Environmental programs and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  4. Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental Nestlé, ISO and local internal and external regulations.
Functional Responsibilities
  1. Safety:
    1. Contribute / implement the company Safety, Health & Environmental policies, processes, and procedures.
    2. Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, Internal Inspections and audits, and incident investigations. Close contact with shopfloor levels to promote zero accident mindset through available systems in the factory.
    3. Ensure compliance with machine safeguarding, Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
    4. Develop and implement emergency procedures and train employees on emergency response.
    5. Conduct confined space entry, electrical safety, and hot work permits.
  2. Health:
    1. Promote employee health and well-being through programs such as ergonomics assessments, health screenings, and wellness initiatives.
    2. Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
  3. Implement and monitor environmental management systems.
  4. Conduct waste management audits and ensure proper waste disposal.
  5. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
  6. Support site ISO 14001 and 45001 certification.
What will make you successful…
  1. Academic Experience: Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Associates Degree (required) in Safety Management or other related field.
  2. Operational Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Skills:
    1. Bilingual Arabic/English
    2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    5. Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations (ISO, OSHA etc.).
    6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    7. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    8. Ability to effectively train and communicate safety information to diverse audiences.
