Job Overview The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, installation and project management of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems including site assessments, preparation of PV layout and Single Line diagram (SLD), permitting, and construction management. Duties and Responsibilities

  • In-charge of project design, implementation and commissioning of solar PV system. Activities include preparing and monitoring project schedule, controlling communication and project document flow to meet deadlines, supervise workers and contractors work on site and attend meetings with Clients and other stakeholders.
  • Provide design and technical review, including solar software simulations (i.e. PVSyst), electrical cable sizing, SLD design to ensure compliance with relevant standards and achieve cost effective solutions.
  • Assume a technical expertise in assessing sites, conducting detailed drawings, and estimating Solar project capacity and costs.
  • Ensure QA/QC control over all projects.
  • Liaise with procurement and inventory control team to ensure sufficient and timely supply of materials.
  • Support in the troubleshooting and maintenance of existing solar PV systems.
  • Attend sales presentations and meetings with Clients (when necessary).
  • Any other task required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in solar PV design and engineering for rooftop, ground mounted or floating PV system.
  • Experience in design and application of BESS with PV generation will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in computer-aided design software (e.g. AutoCAD), Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in English and Arabic.
  • Highly motivated and can be an independent problem solver.
  • Team player and ability to work and manage clients and stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel in the region.
