Job description Job Purpose: A cardiology consultant may admit patients, evaluate, diagnose and consult, as perform history and physical exam in areas related to heart. They perform rounds in the in-patient department and manage treatment and patient care. They are also responsible for outpatient clinic duty according to departmental regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surgeries according to the list of core privileges set by the hospital
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult and treat adult patients above 14 years of age for general medical problems.
- Performs history and physical workup, performs bedside testing, and provides non-surgical treatment, including consultation for patients admitted or in need of care to treat general cardiac problems.
- Supervising and providing schematic care to patients in hospital wards as well as in and out-patient clinics
- Working with junior and senior doctors as a team member, either in the same personnel or within other specializations.
- Liaising with other non-medical and medical faculty in the hospital to guarantee high quality treatment
- Teaching Medical students and junior doctors, researching and auditing
- Takes calls as per departmental regulations
- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in Cardiology.
- Western board certification (e.g., American Board, FRCS, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in Cardiology, with a proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Fluency in English
