Job Description
- The laboratory technician shall perform the tests assigned to him as per the standard test method requested and shall report to the Unit Head.
- He shall ensure that worksheets are being filled adequately during the course of the test.
- Ensure all equipment used for testing is maintained in good condition.
- Ensure that only calibrated equipment, where necessary, shall be used for testing purposes.
- Ensure adoption of necessary safety gadgets while performing the test.
- Ensure proper housekeeping in the laboratory and the premises.
- Undergo any internal or external training programs which the organization finds suitable for the nature of activity performed.
- Conduct intermediate checking of equipment as required by the standard.
- Perform tests for the Internal Quality Control Samples and Proficiency Test Samples and report to the Unit Head.
