AtkinsRalis is looking for a Cost Control Manager (Estimation Manager) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. - Experience in District Cooling Networks, pumping station, and water projects.
- Manage pricing process and technical inquiries review before sending to clients.
- Participate in all Bid/No Bid meetings, Commercial and Technical Reviews for all Invitations to Bid. Expectation: Able to raise recommendations on different stages of Tender and Bidding process.
- Assist the Estimation Director with budgetary pricing for all potential projects. Expectation: Coordination is done in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide recommendations to the bidding structure, costing programs, number of estimators required per job, and advise on any new techniques for estimating purposes.
- Supervise the detailed engineering man-hour cost estimating function for civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and communications works on Design Projects. Expectation: Done in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
- Review tender documents, tender submission requirements, and particular conditions of tender.
- Provide appropriate clarifications to all sections of formal bids to ensure clarity of requirements from a legal, commercial, and technical viewpoint.
- Price project preliminaries in accordance with project duration requirements & tender price analysis.
- Coordination with other department managers to acquire certain requirements for tender submission.
- Attend site visit meetings & pre-tender meetings.
- Negotiate with key suppliers some major packages prior to tender submission on final price submission.
- Review contractors' variation quantities and extra items.
- Liaise with project engineers in the preparation of development concepts and plans.
- Develop alternative options for cost-effectiveness as required by project management.
- Provide cost-related inputs for value engineering.
