As a branch within Digital NSW, GTP helps enable connected interactions with NSW government and supports the strengthening of the public sector's digital capability. The opportunity We are excited to invite applications for the role of Director Platform Enablement Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms to become the state's trusted partner for digital enablement. This is a senior leadership role that will be critical to leading through the implementation of our new value-based operating model while ensuring outcomes continue to be delivered to a high standard. Reporting to the Executive Director GTP, you will lead a multi-disciplined team delivering service management, platform engineering (Dev Ops), security operations, and compliance of all government digital platforms, products, and services, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Area of responsibility includes the 24/7 service desk, major incident and problem management; this role is the primary business continuity lead for GTP. You will deliver value-driven solutions that enhance public trust in government services, drive the development and implementation of robust frameworks, standards, and measures of success, while also fostering agility within the organisation. In addition to accountability for operating tools like Jira, Confluence and Low-Code business applications, you will also work to optimise service delivery, mitigate risks, and uphold cybersecurity, integrity, and privacy standards of all GTP platforms, to bolster the effectiveness and reliability of government services. This role is critical in ensuring consistency, continuous improvement and effective delivery of strategic initiatives that support organisational-wide objectives. What you will bring to this role Demonstrated capability and experience in leading and operating best practice service management, platform engineering (Dev Ops), security operations, and relevant governance frameworks at a senior level. Experience in managing, developing and coaching multi-disciplined teams in an agile, digital environment. In-depth knowledge and experience in managing digital platforms, products, and services, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and best practices. Demonstrated expertise identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with digital platforms and services, implementing appropriate frameworks and measures. Knowledge and experience with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, MNDB and audit practices including leading organisation maturity and awareness. Demonstrated experience delivering and improving business applications that optimise operational effectiveness. Experience in incident response and business continuity event management. Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and ITIL is beneficial.
