Role Description This is a full-time Machining Assistant Manager role located in Batu Kawan, Penang. The Machining Assistant Manager will assist the Manager in oversee daily machining operations, ensure quality control, manage staff, and collaborate with engineering teams to meet production goals. Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Certification in CNC programming or machining (e.g., FANUC, Siemens, Mastercam) is a plus
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in CNC machining (milling and turning) operations.
- Proven experience in managing teams of operators and machinists
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming, tool setup, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and production planning.
- Assist in production planning, scheduling, and ensuring targets are met.
- Oversee machine setup, first-piece approvals, and in-process inspections.
- Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to undercuts, porosity, or deviations in machining.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
