Program Officer: Tuberculosis Initiative About Jiv Daya Foundation Jiv Daya Foundation (JDF) is a private foundation based in Dallas, TX, dedicated to improving the quality of life for those most in need. The foundation operates several targeted healthcare initiatives in India, including pediatric oncology, palliative care, amputee assistance, maternal and neonatal health, and infectious diseases. The foundation provides essential medicines, diagnostics, training, and financial support to hospitals and government institutions across India. JDF is expanding its Tuberculosis Initiative to support patients in need by providing TB medicines and diagnostic support . The aim is to collaborate with major government TB treatment centers across India to improve access to treatment and enhance patient care. To strengthen this initiative, JDF is seeking a full-time Program Officer based in Delhi . The role will require 50% travel to hospitals and TB treatment centers across India to build relationships with doctors, oversee program activities, coordinate with field staff, and conduct monitoring visits to assess impact and ensure program success. Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with doctors and healthcare providers at government TB treatment centers .
- Conduct site visits to assess treatment gaps and identify solutions for improving patient care.
- Monitor program implementation at supported hospitals, ensuring proper utilization of medicines and diagnostics.
- Oversee and coordinate activities of on-the-ground staff, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and counselors.
- Engage with senior physicians and hospital administrators to facilitate program expansion and ensure sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with TB treatment protocols and facilitate data collection for monitoring program effectiveness.
- Regularly report program progress and impact to the JDF headquarters in Dallas.
- Identify potential NGO partnerships to strengthen the reach and effectiveness of the TB initiative.
- Medical degree (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS) or an advanced degree in healthcare or life sciences (MPH, MHA, PhD).
- Prior experience in treating TB patients and working in the field of infectious diseases.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare program management setting.
- Strong knowledge of TB treatment guidelines , patient care, and diagnostic protocols.
- Ability to identify challenges in TB care and implement solutions to improve patient outcomes.
- Commitment to improving healthcare accessibility for TB patients in need.
- 50% travel required across India to visit government TB treatment centers and hospitals for program monitoring and assessment.
- Includes train and air travel to ensure coverage of all key regions.
