Looking to move to Australia Our client located in Laverton is looking for a full-time Automotive Vehicle Spray Painter. This opportunity is to work with a supportive and well-established team of like-minded people in their workshop at Laverton. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated person able to work autonomously. We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic workshop vehicle Spray Painter who has a high level of attention to detail in all areas and has a passion for the industry. You will be responsible for the following:
- Removing rough spots on vehicle panels
- Treating vehicles with proofing chemicals
- Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
- Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
- Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
- Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training OR
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Able to use a pneumatic-powered spray gun and the ability to carry out minor mechanical repairs is considered desirable for this position.
