Accountant (1-year contract)

Company: MMC Corporate Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Controllership team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Perform financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors
• Liaise with external tax agents to provide necessary documentation and information for tax preparation and filing.
• Support the integration of legal entities by assisting with financial data consolidation, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to management.
• Support the team with AR/AP activities when required
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various financial projects and initiatives.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in financial reconciliation processes and techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
