Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Financial and Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for the Waves Group of Companies . Responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance, maintaining internal controls, managing job costing, and banking relations. The role also involves submitting timely financial reports, conducting audits, supporting investment analysis, managing portfolio performance, and handling corporate financial events. Strong analytical and investment management skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Finance & Accounting:
- Maintain comprehensive books of accounts and records as mandated by law.
- Ensure consistent application of internal checks, controls, and procedures.
- Oversee job costing and management, including progress reports and dealing with banks.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of accounts, MIS, and analytical reports.
- Manage the completion of statutory audits efficiently, covering all aspects of accounts.
- Provide analytical support for investments, focusing on fundamental, sector-based, and industry-based analyses.
- Report on support and resistance levels and conduct meetings with company managements.
- Track international activities impacting stock markets and evaluate their effects.
- Identify new stock ideas and gather information from diverse sources for fundamental research.
- Handle declarations of dividends, rights issues, bonuses, and trade IPOs and private placements.
- Attend analyst meetings and manage databases regarding corporate sectors.
- Knowledge and experience in capital markets, including understanding market trends, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and report on company portfolios.
- Identify and manage financial risks effectively.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, and investment analysis, preferably within a conglomerate or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of statutory accounting standards and audit processes.
- Expertise in job costing and cash management.
- Proficient in investment analysis and portfolio management.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with management and external partners.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or an equivalent qualification.
