Share this JobWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Engineer to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia within the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing project costs, preparing budget estimates, and monitoring project expenses to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints. The Cost Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing project costs and maximizing profitability.Responsibilities:Analyse project costs and prepare accurate budget estimates for various phases of the projectMonitor and control project expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraintsCollaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for cost optimizationPrepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to management and project teamsUtilize cost management tools and software to track, analyse, and report project costsConduct cost risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential cost overrunsParticipate in project meetings and provide cost-related insights and recommendations to support decision-makingMaintain documentation and records of all cost-related activities and reports for audit and reference purposesKey requirementsAt least a 4 year degree in an engineering disciplineProven experience in project management within the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practicesProfessional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferredExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersStrong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressureFamiliarity with project management tools and software, as well as relevant industry standards and regulationsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to quality and safetySalary: Competitive Sector: Oil, Gas & Energy Contract Type: Permanent Town/City: Dhahran
