Town planner

Macroplan is seeking a motivated and organised Town Planner to join our Brisbane team. This is a full-time role with flexibility and remote work.As one of our Town Planners, you will be preparing and lodging development applications, liaising with local and state government authorities, as well as other professional consultants such as surveyors, engineers, and designers.Our projects are located extensively throughout QLD, NSW, and Victoria and vary in size and complexity, so you will enjoy a variety of projects. Primary Duties Preparing, lodging, and managing development applicationsProviding statutory and strategic planning advice to clientsCoordinating with project teams, including engineering and architectural professionals, clients, government officers, and other consultantsUndertaking site analysis, identification of planning and approval provisions, development opportunities, and constraintsPreparing fee proposals and providing town planning adviceLiaising with clients, professional consultants, and Council assessment officers Minimum Requirements Town Planning tertiary qualification3+ years' experience in the statutory planning fieldKnowledge of relevant legislation and planning instrumentsProficient in reviewing developers' plansFully knowledgeable in how to assess plans and how to create a successful planning strategyAbility to think strategicallyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational, planning, and time management skillsAbility to use GIS preferred Remuneration Financial remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
