About the Health Service The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is a leader in providing mental health care to diverse rural and remote communities. The Rural & Remote Mental Health Service offers a holistic, patient-centered approach with a focus on recovery and integrated care. Position Details As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will: Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments for mental health consumers in rural and remote areas. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consumers, carers, family, and external service providers to deliver holistic care. Participate in professional development and contribute to research projects. Shape the future of mental health services in Country SA. Job Details Permanent Part-time position (30 hours per week). Salary: AUD $501,044 - $652,823 per annum (pro-rata), including allowances and professional development benefits. Total Indicative Remuneration Package (TIRP) includes award salary, managerial allowance, remote call allowance, superannuation, and more. Benefits Competitive remuneration package. Requirements Qualifications Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Participation in continuing medical education. Essential Skills and Experience Strong commitment to providing exceptional care to rural and remote communities. Experience in psychiatric medicine, with a focus on holistic, patient-centered care. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals. Desirable Skills and Experience Previous experience in rural or remote mental health services.
