Role Purpose:
- To spearhead the design, development and implementation of automation/ innovation projects
- Developing Automation vendors and capability across India, with all documentation as per legal / operational requirements
- Monitor and maintain automation systems, and coordinate with SME / Vendor to trouble shooting issues
- To champion automation capability enhancement / deployment in the country
- To implement Automation solution at sites with support of operation
- Work closely with Operations to establish Automation ideas
- To support expected substantial profitable growth of the related operations
- To provide leadership/ coaching support to fellow team members/ analyst
- To support in establishing optimal commercials for New/Existing business
- To engage stakeholders – internal and external over implementation phases of automation projects for clarity of scope, project responsibilities (internal, external- vendors and customer), support needs and progress updates
- Monitor, report and document the automation project progress with India / APAC / Global team, and take their inputs to strategize it
- To develop, perform and review methods or techniques that directly impacts the processes or productivity of DSC
- To work with external team members in documentation and approvals on the product as per policies
- Pre-sales - Liaise with DHL customers and opportunity owners to understand automation opportunities according to customer supply chain operating requirements & pain points
- To promote and educate on automation technologies and their benefits
- Accurate commercial modeling, ROI calculations for solutions, resulting in the achievement of strategic advantages against the competitors.
- High quality solutions and On-time responding to customers, internal stakeholders and operations
- Meeting the automation targets for the year Renewals and new business won as a result of automation activities
- Meeting operating budget and profitability Win-win partnership and Customer development strategies
- Effective utilization of solution design tools e.g. CAD, Cost Model, etc. BCA Preparation - On time task Fulfillment Consultancy Project - Project on-time delivery and Customer satisfaction
- New Operations Deployment and Existing Operations Improvement Support - Productivity increment and reduction in unit cost
- Informal influence to enable greater understanding and appreciation of automation within the organization
- Identifying & analyzing information to understand customer needs, key data & drivers for solution design
- Building on current best practice, develop value based and innovative automation solutions & Cost Models
- Ensuring quality and rigor of process , customer documentation & risk assessment
- Project managing the solutions work-stream with the key stakeholders to handover
- Collaborate & Leverage Solution Design Best Practice though knowledge share
- Building & Leading automation team members.
- Developing & presenting compelling customer value based proposals
- Acting with integrity, trust and credibility
- Maintaining effective awareness of supply chain trends, vendors, competitor activity
