Job Description: Position: Infrastructure Operations Engineer (SCCM, Server patching and vulnerability remediation) Location: Bengaluru / Gurugram Region: India Reports to: Team Lead, IT Infrastructure Operations Employment Category: Permanent Employment Type: Full Time Working Environment: The Infrastructure Operations Engineer position is a hands-on role to manage, monitor and support organization’s SCCM infrastructure. Working within the IT Infrastructure Division, you will provide support in managing SCCM Environment, Server patching and remediate vulnerabilities, executing project tasks, resolving incidents, provide operational support. This role would suit an individual who has experience with SCCM and its associated features and has proven experience in troubleshooting SCCM platform, server patching issues and vulnerabilities remediation within a large organization. The role responsibilities include the following responsibilities but not limited to:
- Manage and maintain SCCM infrastructure and to ensure optimal performance.
- Designs, installs, maintains and upgrades SCCM Current branch environment.
- Planning, modify and implementing SCCM environment as the organization's needs evolve.
- Assist Desktop and packaging team to follow SCCM best practices in managing SCCM collections, application & packages etc.
- Deploy software application and packages on all servers across the enterprise.
- Deploy security patches on all servers and ensure that up to date with latest patches and manage vulnerability remediation for servers.
- Managing SCCM collections, inventory, client agent settings, SQL Queries, SCCM reporting and provide support for operating system deployment.
- Exposure on developing scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance SCCM functionality.
- Maintaining documentation of SCCM configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Providing training and guidance to IT staff on SCCM usage and best practices.
- At least 8-10 years’ experience working in an IT services organization.
- At least 6-8 years’ hands-on experience as SCCM administrator in large scale environment.
- Managing and monitoring SCCM infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of SCCM architecture and its components.
- Packaging and deploying applications.
- Good knowledge on SCCM SQL queries, PowerShell scripting.
- Good knowledge on SCCM Cloud Management gateway and Co-management.
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Knowledge of ITIL Incident, problem, change management processes.
- Experience in working with global teams.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree
