Responsibilities: Design & Drafting: Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs and drawings for sheet metal components, including enclosures, brackets, and other structural elements. Material Selection: Select appropriate sheet metal materials based on project requirements, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost. Fabrication Drawings: Create accurate fabrication drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and bend allowances, for manufacturing purposes. Design Optimization: Optimize designs for manufacturability, minimizing material waste and production costs. Design Revisions: Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to designs. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, drawings, and specifications. Research & Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest sheet metal design techniques and technologies. Requirements: Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3 years of experience in sheet metal design or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant projects or internships are also encouraged to apply. CAD Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar programs. Sheet Metal Knowledge: Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including bending, cutting, welding, and forming. Material Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of sheet metal materials, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Design Skills: Ability to create accurate and detailed designs, considering both aesthetics and functionality. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented.
