Description and Requirements

The TELUS Digital team is looking for a  Quality Controller to improve geodata accuracy on our client’s web mapping platform and provide cultural insights for target markets. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, self-discipline, and motivation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with a global team of Quality Controllers to resolve geodata quality issues and meet performance metrics.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of remote crowd raters who improve business listing accuracy, including contacting local businesses to verify information.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and implement improvement programs, providing reports and actionable recommendations to management.
  • Become an expert in market-specific guidelines to preempt issues and continuously enhance mapping data quality.
  • Use analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and improve the user experience on the client’s platform.
  • Create educational materials such as eLearning content, videos, and webinars to support performance improvement processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have: Native or near-native fluency in U.S. English.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening skills to provide expertise across all business levels and with clients.
  • In-depth understanding of the internet and social media trends in Europe.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and research skills, including the ability to interpret and apply complex guidelines.
  • Proven experience in quality-focused roles (e.g., similar rater programs or call centers).
  • Remote work experience across different time zones is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Experience with data analysis to support decision-making is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with creating and delivering eLearning content is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, especially for data analysis and presentation purposes.
