An exciting customer of Alldus are hiring for a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) with specialized experience in M&A, life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries. We’re looking for a skilled BISO to support our customer on a 9-month contract with a view to transition into a permanent position thereafter. The BISO will be critical to protecting the business as they navigate complex mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Drive information security strategy within the business, with a keen understanding of the unique risks and compliance needs across life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries.

• Provide specialized security insight throughout the M&A lifecycle, conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Identify and mitigate security risks to protect sensitive information, intellectual property, and ensure that best practices are followed throughout operations.

• Ensure alignment with industry regulations and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and other regional and sector specific mandates.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders, providing guidance on security requirements, policies, and risk mitigation in line with industry specific needs.

Skillset

• 8+ years in information security, with specific experience in M&A and familiarity with the unique challenges within life sciences, healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.

• Deep understanding of security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices relevant to healthcare and life sciences.

• Ability to engage with C-level executives and cross-functional teams, translating complex security requirements into actionable business solutions.

• Proven experience overseeing security considerations in mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to post-merger integration.

• Strong knowledge of sector specific standards and regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and relevant industry standards.
