About the Department Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services, and banking operations. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Job Responsibilities Lead the Controls and Support, Remittance Callback, Remittance Investigations, Audit Confirmation and SWIFT operations teams. Build a dynamic and proactive strategy in Risks and Controls to ensure robust controls. Champion and drive process improvements through Elimination, Simplification and Automation, Straight Thru Processing (STP) and digitalisation. Plan, review and execute the business directions, goals and strategies for the teams. Supervise daily operations and meet all set goals. Ensure products and services are delivered accurately and timely in accordance with SLAs/KPIs. Implement and maintain high standards of operations control and compliance. Raise escalations to appropriate management levels on a timely basis. Ensure Bank's policies, guidelines, controls, and compliance requirements are adhered to. Manage SWIFT message routing and processes according to approved SOPs. Ensure staff exercise vigilance in processing, overriding, authorising and approving transactions. Follow up promptly on non-compliance issues highlighted by Auditors, Compliance, Risks Management and Regulators. Manage Key Risk Indicators at the division level. Resolve customers' operational problems, complaints and queries promptly. Review manpower requirements to ensure optimal team training and deployment. Provide guidance and arrange for coaching/training to staff as part of ongoing development plans. Track key performance indicators and monitor staff performance. Monitor project milestones to ensure deliverables and timelines are met. Job Requirements Degree holder in a relevant discipline. At least 15 years' experience in wholesale banking operations. Strong leadership, people management and interpersonal skills. Able to motivate teams to achieve stretched goals. Committed, dependable and demonstrate high integrity. Strong Risks and Controls experience in a large operations setting. Strong knowledge of MAS and other Regulatory requirements. Technology savvy with understanding of information security and workflows. Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products. A self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
