As Quality Safety & Practice Development Manager you will ensure Lotus Care services are fit for purpose and exemplar in the areas of quality care practice and health & safety. You will play a pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality residential / respite / daycare support services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and autism. You will support dedicated teams in providing personalised care, fostering inclusivity, and facilitating community engagement for our service users. You will be responsible for the overall compliance of the services in relation HIQA standards & Legislation and all aspects of Health & Safety along with practice development ensuring Lotus Care is delivering the highest standards of person centred care in line with its values and mission. Key Responsibilities: Job Objectives: The person appointed will be required to work closely with the CEO, DOS, RSMs, Training, PIC's, Operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the organisation Audits of current services and development of corrective action plans with timeframes where required Preparation and implementation of action plans post inspection Build strong relationships with centre teams to ensure maximum buy in and compliance regarding all aspects of quality and risk. Support the development of new services ensure the required compliance and standards are put in place. Complete quarterly/ annual service quality review / reports. Develop platforms to receive feedback from service owners / families and staff to ensure any recommendations are reviewed and followed up where required. Oversee and advise on Safeguarding procedures and guidelines. Develop, review and update QSPD care policies procedures and guidelines for Lotus Care services Promote and advise practice development specific to disability care and supports. Identify and report on staff practice development/training needs. Monitor, review incidents, investigations and risk management. Member of Lotus Care Risk Management Committee. Keep up to date on current research on best practice and new developments in the disability sector. DESIRABLE: Proven leadership and management experience within a large organisation in either the public or private sector Experience in overseeing internal compliance / auditing / risk management & Governance or relevant experience in a regulatory body Clinical Management of Residential Intellectual Disabilities A management qualification is preferred. Problem-solving skills Initiative Flexibility Interpersonal Skills Planning and Organisation Liaise and consult with other professionals across services as needed. Operate within all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the service. Participate in team meetings and other relevant meetings. Contribute to specific tasks related to service development and expansion. Being able to operate within agreed department budgets Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work model with remote and on-site support in residential settings.
- Full-time position with standard office hours, flexibility as needed.
- Occasional travel to various service locations and assessment locations as required.
- Participation in on-call rotation for crisis intervention.
