Job Summary: The Clinic Surgical Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a clinical setting. This includes assisting during surgeries, pre- and post-operative care, patient education, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment. Details: $3500-3800 (experienced)$2400-$2800 (fresh grad) Monday to Saturday Monday to Friday (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM) Saturday (8:30 AM to 12:30 PM) OT or surgical trained Key Responsibilities: Pre-Operative Care
- Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
- Obtain and review medical history, allergies, and vital signs.
- Educate patients and families on pre-operative instructions.
- Ensure proper documentation and consent forms are completed.
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during surgery.
- Monitor patients in the recovery area and assess their condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage post-operative pain.
- Provide wound care and educate patients on post-operative care instructions.
- Report complications or changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and staff training programs.
- Support patient education and counseling regarding surgical procedures and recovery.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse)
- License: Valid nursing license from the relevant medical board
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical or clinical nursing (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and electronic health records (EHR)
