Hotel: Taif (TIFHA), Airport Road, P.O. Box 827, 21944 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL RETURNS

  1. Proper usage of Handy fuel and cleaning supply to reduce cost.
  2. Handles operating equipment as per hotel Standard to reduce breakage cost.
  3. Understands the key profit drivers for department.
  4. Minimizes overtime by efficiently scheduling staff in different shifts.

PEOPLE

  1. Conducts under the guidance of Chief Steward, such functions as employee orientation, coaching, performance appraisal to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity.
  2. Conducts daily briefings to share important information with colleagues of different shifts.
  3. Assists Chief Steward to develop formal training plan and conducts on-the-job training session.
  4. Role modelling the IHG Company Values and leading employee engagement activities.

GUESTS EXPERIENCE

  1. Maintains hotel’s cleaning and sanitation check lists updated.
  2. Assists Chief steward to ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment being used in restaurants, banqueting, outside catering and kitchen.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

  1. Implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures.
  2. Ensuring implementation and compliance of the Company’s Fire, Life and Safety requirements.
  3. Schedule preventive maintenance work and coordinate with engineering.
  4. Performs related duties and special project as assigned by Chief Steward.
  5. Maintains hotel’s cleaning and sanitation check lists as defined in Food & Beverage manual.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  1. Accountable to train stewards for maintaining high standard of cleanliness.
  2. Follows HACCP standards of kitchen cleaning and sanitation.
  3. Implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. 4 years' experience as a Stewarding supervisor.
  2. Educational qualification – Intermediate of high school graduate.
  3. Computer skills e.g. advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  4. Proficiency in speaking and writing English, Arabic speaking is an advantage.
