Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Medway Green School, Wouldham, Rochester Salary: 20,906.25 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00 Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only UK applicants only. This role does offer sponsorship. As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our close-knit team at Medway Green School located in Kent. Job Purpose To provide a high-quality education support service to Service Users and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body Key Task Areas and Responsibilities Service Users (as defined by the relevant service e.g. Young People/Young Adult/Students) * To support the class teacher/tutor in order to ensure the delivery of a high-quality education for all students * To support the class teacher and/or tutor to ensure that all relevant education policies and procedures are implemented in full * To provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis, in order to enable them to access the curriculum as independently as possible * To promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of the students * To ensure that the available equipment and resources are used, stored and maintained efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff * To support the class teacher and/or tutor in organising the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for students with SEMH To view the job description, please click here - About Us Medway Green School is a special needs provision that provides for students whose SEMH/SEN needs have resulted in placement breakdown at their mainstream schools. We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH students in Key stages 2-4, however within the next 2 years the provision will move to Key stages 3-4 only. Students will experience a personalised curriculum based on previous learning and identified needs. With a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development the school aims to help young pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally to enable them to achieve success as they progress through life. Opened in 2019, Medway Green School presently provides education to 67 students, with a capacity of 70 students. We have welcomed our first KS4 cohort this year and have been excited to introduce subject specialists to our school, providing a secondary model of learning.
