The Head of Analytics will be responsible for heading the COE teams in India and determining client requirements for complex and multi-dimensional decision solutions across the full range of the Business Lines analytics solutions, ensuring the relationship with the client is productive, professional and mutually beneficial. Lead and mentor high performing analytics teams fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration and evolving business analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities Managing Analytics Strategy
- Lead the design, pricing and presentation of large, complex analytical solutions using Experian data, software and analytics to solve complex client problems in credit risk, fraud risk, identity management and marketing (as appropriate by Business Line)
- Provide directional input to strategy definition and planning for the Centre of Expertise. Operates at a strategic level, aligning client projects and interactions with business strategy.
- Champion a culture that achieves the business goals, delights customers and keeps consumer advocacy at the heart of everything that Experian does.
- Ensure that good client / consumer outcomes are at the centre of decision making.
- Promote the development of client / consumer relationships and seek to exceed client’s expectations.
- Act in a manner conducive to the fair and reasonable treatment of all consumers
- Work with leadership team to regularly and pro-actively identify business risks and issues and ensure appropriate steps to mitigate risks are in place and timely remediation of issues
- Delegated authority for day to day operational decisions to ensure achievement and management of KPI’s.
- Ensure fit-for-purpose risk management processes, practices and associated accountabilities and that these are embedded through training and communication.
- Ensure that the business area operates to Experian India’s governance, risk, compliance and control frameworks
- Ensure that the business area operates within its conduct risk strategy and risk appetites, keeps the strategy and appetites under regular review, and plays its part in ensuring that Experian operates within its conduct risk strategy and risk appetites.
- Ensure that business area maintains appropriate information security, resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements within the framework
- Ensure that business area operates within Experian policies in relation to information security, financial crime, outsourcing, complaints, vulnerable consumers, product development and other key areas of regulatory risk.
- Ensure clearly documented fit- for-purpose operational processes.
- Drive adherence to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of customers.
- Deal with the RBI and with other regulators in an open and cooperative way and disclose appropriately any information or misconduct.
- Take reasonable steps to ensure that the business area complies with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system.
- Demonstrates leadership in the development of the client solutions and develops strong working relationships with managers and executives within client organisations to achieve project objectives.
- Lead the conversion of large, complex analytics sales opportunities by engaging with clients to understand the business problem and translating that into a compelling solution design and commercial proposition
- Drives the commercial integrity of Experian analytics proposals through rigorous solution design, accurate pricing and the application of detailed Statements of Work which mitigate the risk of scope creep and margin erosion
- Lead performance management ensuring that all team members have stretching personal objectives, development plans and regular performance reviews to embed a high performance culture.
- Develop and implement talent management and succession plans to identify and develop high potential employees and ensure an available talent pipeline to meet business and capability requirements.
- Establish and frequently review the organisational structure and allocation of responsibilities, accountabilities and necessary resources to ensure regulatory obligations are met and that the business is managed and controlled effectively.
- Define and drive clear goals and objectives for the business area
- Drive employee engagement and openly encourage two way communication flows
- Ensure training and competency plans are in place and that all team members complete required training in a timely manner.
- 15 Years + experience in a relevant field e.g. Credit bureau, Analytics (data science) in BFSI domain.
- Degree or equivalent standard, with a high numeric content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
- Expert knowledge of a broad range of analytical methodologies and their use in solving business problems
- Proven ability to shape and define large, complex solutions to meet client requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience of using these to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Broad knowledge of the Experian products and service suite.
- Strong presentational skills with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders and large groups
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen Extensive consulting experience in the analytics space
- Stakeholder management at a very senior level (CXO & Market Managing Director level)
- Executive level communication skills with ability to make the complex simple in front of senior audiences.
- Creates a brand for the product portfolio through personal presence and leadership.
- Empathetic collaboration with a diverse set of senior leaders from different geographies
- Ability to facilitate and bring communities of interest together to achieve greater outcomes.
- A broad and deep knowledge and understanding of how credit bureau scores and attributes work.
- Hold industry certifications, accreditations or specialisations and willingness to maintain and broaden them.
