Are you passionate about creating, managing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation within an organization? If your answer is a resounding yes, then we are hunting for you. As a Technical Documentation Specialist at SmartQ, your primary goal will be to maintain the knowledge base of an organization, support effective communication, and ensure that accurate information is accessible. In addition, you will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, editing documents, and ensuring the content adheres to relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Key roles and responsibilities:

• A strong, convincing portfolio of previous projects; including impact data pointers will be an added advantage.
• A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience of document development life cycle (DDLC) and software document development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Develop and maintain various technical documents: user guides, product manuals, troubleshooting manuals, installation guides, quick start guides, presentations, videos, product tutorials, and more.
• Craft compelling narratives about SmartQ product suite across formats such as documents, presentations, videos and more
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate technical details.
• A firm hold on English grammar and other basic linguistic devices
• Translate technical information into easily understandable content for various user groups.
• Review and edit documentation meticulously to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Work with product team to stay updated with new product features and follow-up on product documentation and video channel enablement.
• Continuously update existing documentation to reflect changes.
• Lead documentation initiatives and drive guidelines and best practices for the technical writing function.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Adobe Technical Suite; Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Robosoft, will fetch brownie points.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in technical writing with experience in B2B SaaS companies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Rapid adaptability to grasp and communicate technologies effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• A proactive attitude, driven by continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
