We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team! Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Customer Requirements: Interpret and fulfill customer specifications and project needs.
- Technical Documentation: Create design review documents, technical reports, and justifications for clients.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, Electrical design, manufacturing, quality, Purchase, testing, and service teams.
- Component Specifications: Draft technical specifications for components like Bushings, Fuses, tap changers, current transformers, Gauges and other Fitting and accessories.
- Project Management: Ensure timely project completion and provide support to the shop floor.
- RCA& Failure Analysis: Competent in carrying out Root Cause and Failure Analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to report higher management in US & India.
- Experience: 7 -10 years in Design of oil immersed Power and distribution transformers for Candidate having Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design/ Heavy Machine Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. Or 10-15 Years in Design of Oil immersed Power and Distribution transformer for candidate having 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Standards Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
- Capable of mechanical design up to 25MVA 69kV Class per IEC / IEEE / NEMA / UL / CSA standards.
- Highly Skilled in 3D Auto-CAD, Inventor /Solid Works.
- Knowledgeable in various core constructions and winding types (layer, foil, disc, helical, multi-start, multi-layer).
- Able to produce detail Bill of Material, Manufacturing drawings & specifications for manufacturing.
- Competent in understanding & resolving shop floor issues related to high voltage assembly, Tanking, Connections and Shipping issues related to engineering.
- Quality Oriented and should have some experience in 3rd party inspection for fabrication.
- Skilled in Mechanical design optimization and cost reduction.
- Able to mentor and train Junior Engineers
