As a Manager - Physical Design, you will play a critical role in building, leading and managing a team of talented physical design engineers to deliver high-quality and efficient designs for our cutting-edge semiconductor products. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire physical design process, from floor planning to tape-out, and ensuring timely and accurate execution to meet project deadlines. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong technical background in physical design, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in physical design and at least 2 years in a managerial role in a product company. If you are a hands-on and results-driven individual with a proven track record of delivering complex designs, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity and be a part of our innovative and dynamic team. · Lead and manage a team of physical design engineers to ensure timely and accurate execution of designs for semiconductor products. · Oversee the entire physical design process, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure. · Develop and implement design methodologies and strategies to improve efficiency and quality of designs. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RTL design, verification, and packaging, to ensure seamless integration of physical design. · Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. · Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them. · Ensure adherence to design guidelines, standards, and best practices to deliver high-quality designs. · Manage project schedules and resources to meet project deadlines and deliverables. · Communicate project status, issues, and risks to upper management and stakeholders. · Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in physical design and incorporate them into the design process. · Collaborate with external vendors and partners for design services and tool evaluations. · Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members. · Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines. · Represent the company in conferences, seminars, and industry events to showcase our physical design capabilities. · Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
