Job Description Develop and execute strategies to grow market share and profitability for a key product category in Australia and New Zealand. Build and maintain strong relationships with major clients , ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth. Lead a sales team of 3, setting clear goals and providing support to achieve outstanding performance. Manage product pricing, inventory, and financial targets , with full accountability for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the category. Manage risks related to stock, purchasing, and sales, ensuring alignment with daily commodity price movements and market trends. Stay ahead of market trends , competitor activity , and customer demands to inform strategic decisions. Provide regular updates on performance, P&L, and key metrics to senior leadership. The Successful Applicant A minimum of 7-10 years of sales management experience in the food ingredients/agribusiness/chemical industry, ideally with exposure to commodity or niche product categories. Proven leadership and team management skills with experience guiding high-performing teams. A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain client relationships. Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends effectively. Proficiency in CRM tools and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point). Strategic thinking paired with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. A customer-focused attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Willingness and ability to travel nationally as required. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Marketing , or a related field is essential.
