Clarification on SMP Contract: It is a Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by the NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of the SMP Vendor Company/Contract. ROLE OVERVIEW The Sustainability Awareness Manager supports and assists the Resources and Waste Management department in various tasks and objectives, including but not limited to the following:
  • Develop sustainability communication material for the NEOM Community and the wider NEOM developments.
  • Develop sustainability training material for the NEOM Community with the main focus areas (Resources and Waste Management, Energy, Water, Transportation, and Environmental Quality).
  • Facilitate sustainability awareness across projects for the NEOM Community and the wider NEOM developments.
  • Facilitate sustainability training across the NEOM Community and the wider NEOM developments.
  • Develop a variety of awareness programs that will support the NEOM Community Sustainability Strategy.
  • Develop procedures and guidelines for sustainability communication in the NEOM Community and the wider NEOM developments.
  • Liaise between different stakeholders for accurate communication.
  • Build organizational commitment and educational opportunities on how to continue to engage in sustainability actions.
  • Provide guidance and act as a subject matter expert on sustainability communication to different target audiences, including employees and their families.
  • Track and publicize (through internal communication) NEOM Community sustainability targets, achievements, and practices.
  • Support the NEOM Sustainability Champions.
  • Provide support and input to the Community Sustainability Manager.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience with sustainability awareness, training, and communication. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience with sustainability projects. Excellent communication skills (writing, conflict management, engagement). Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Hands-on, able to build and maintain relationships. Experience in consulting or internal corporate positions or a combination in promoting sustainability programs. Familiar with the UN Sustainability Development Goals. Familiar with ISO 26000 – Social Responsibility. Qualifications
  • BS in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or similar.
  • Qualification in communications (preferred).
