Job Title: IT Supervisor Department: Information Technology Reports to: IT Manager / Operations Manager Location: Dubai Job Summary: The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT operations within the Roasters Speciality Coffee House, ensuring the smooth functioning of all hardware, software, network systems, and technology infrastructure. This role involves managing day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other departments to meet the technological needs of the business. Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT Support and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all IT hardware and software used within the organization (POS systems, kitchen display systems, inventory management software, etc.). Manage the daily IT support for staff, addressing technical issues promptly.
  2. Network Management: Ensure the stability and security of the network infrastructure, including servers, Wi-Fi, and intranet connectivity. Monitor and resolve any network-related issues to prevent disruptions to restaurant operations.
  3. System Integration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, HR) to ensure systems are properly integrated and aligned with business processes. Ensure proper functioning and updates of business-critical systems like POS, ERP, and reservation systems.
  4. Security and Data Protection: Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data, including customer information and financial records. Ensure compliance with industry regulations related to data security and privacy.
  5. Training and Support: Train and support staff on new software systems, tools, and best practices. Develop IT user manuals and documentation for all technology used by employees.
  6. Vendor and Equipment Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and third-party service providers to ensure efficient support and system upgrades. Oversee the procurement and management of IT equipment and software licenses.
  7. Reporting and Troubleshooting: Provide regular reports on IT issues, system performance, and updates to senior management. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an IT support or IT management role, preferably within the F&B industry or a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  3. Skills: Proficient in POS systems, kitchen display systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and system integration. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to train and support staff on IT-related matters.
  4. Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  2. Ability to lift and carry equipment.
