What you’ll achieve As a Principal Engineer in Solutions Architecture , you’ll take the technical lead during pre-sales engagement, using a consultative approach towards the customer to fully understand their overall business goals. From there, you will translate the client’s business requirements into specific systems or applications for complex technology solutions. We’re looking for significant experience in design and implementation of client management solutions with proven technical skills and experience in OS configuration, hardware provisioning, client security layering, and application lifecycle management for optimization and integrated solutions. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Intune and Entra Suites with extensive knowledge in automation. Additionally, a strong understanding of AI concepts and integration within client systems is desired. In this role, the engineer will be a trusted advisor to our customers in respects to the management and deployment of their client systems and services, responsible for both the design and implementation of the solution. You will:
- Develop and cultivate strong customer relationships, help steer the pre-sales qualification process and deliver the architectural design, strategy, and plan
- Assess, design, and implement client configuration, provisioning, and management capabilities in collaboration with Dell Factory, Infrastructure, and Security Services
- Assist customers in implementation and integration of client-based AI within existing systems and workflows
- Have deep, extensive knowledge of Dell Technologies and Microsoft products, integration capabilities and related environments, keeping up to date with the latest industry developments
- Contribute to the preparation of multiple white papers and design documents
- Typically requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
- Strong customer communication, writing skills and demonstrated ability to describe and document processes for the customer
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and application of Microsoft client technologies, client hardware, and automation concepts and methodologies
- Ability to analyze customer needs and current systems to identify recommended configuration approach based on industry best practices
- 50% Travel within the United States
- Dell Factory Integration Services, Configuration Services and Life-cycle hub experience
- AI concepts and methodologies with pertinent certification (i.e. Azure AI Fundamentals AI-900, Power BI Data Analyst Associate PL-300)
