Our client in the public sector is seeking a contract based business analyst to work on their system modernization. Duration: 12 months (start April 1) Location: Remote (client is in BC) Key Responsibilities

  • Define, document, and refine business requirements for applications and data systems.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and end-users, to develop and implement automated business processes.
  • Collaborate closely with service delivery teams to ensure process improvements and business needs are met.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by working with non-technical end-users to develop test cases and conduct functional testing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital services and business processes.
  • Lead multi-discipline teams through business process reengineering and requirements facilitation.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for business users.
  • Ensure compliance with government frameworks and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience defining and documenting business requirements for applications and data.
  • 4+ yrs experience developing and implementing automated business processes.
  • Experience writing business test cases, conducting functional testing, and supporting UAT.
  • Knowledge of Government based Digital Services .
  • Experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes for integrated custom applications.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, process diagrams, and RFCs (Request for Changes).
  • Knowledge of application design, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and IT security principles .
  • Familiarity with web-based application usability issues .
