Position Title Senior Specialist - BMS Hardware Designer Key Responsibilities: ● Define the overall design, maintenance, and development process for vehicle electronics hardware design and validation system. ● Understand requirements, develop vehicle hardware test plans,and integration and set targets. ● To develop new processes and integrate in NPDS : DFA, DFS, DVA, Ergonomics and cable routing. ● Plan build, risk evaluation and mitigation with CFT on tracking, dashboard and closure of build plan. ● Production stabilization and ramp-up support working with SQA/MQA. ● Define performance and reliability test of vehicle build plan, build issue capture and resolution and testing. ● Conduct benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, and weight. ● Develop an extensive understanding of build issue capture in mule vehicle hardware and ECR implementation, simulation and functional safety (ISO 26262)● Ensure adherence to compliance standards. ● Review MIS, analyze operational efficiency and identify risks. ● Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, and regulations and develop long-term road maps and appropriate work plan ● Must know applicable ARAI, ISO, IEC test standards related to EV Education B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Power Electronics, or Embedded Systems. Experience
- 07+ years’ experience in a similar role including experience in the following areas:
- Strong knowledge of BMS architecture with all the safety measures, microcontroller, analog front-end ICs, contractor drivers, sensors and transformers, interlock, wiring diagram, etc.
- Proficient in Vehicle hardware design and integration/styling for Electrical vehicles and ability to integrate all systems, electronic circuits, software interfaces and CAN topology.
- Efficient in creating schematics and understanding of PCB Layout.
- Thorough understanding of EV vehicle packaging, vehicle hardware of digital mock-up process, and ability to define EV parts specification as per vehicle requirement of power/ speed/ noise, etc.
- Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally, in the field of EV
- Product lifecycle management system, interface with all relevant agencies, and quality management in the design stage.
